Research needs to discover

Research should attempt to discover the world not confirm already held views. Much research is designed to reconfirm held notions. Very little research is designed to question and better understand our held notions. Growth comes from curiosity, and researchers need to be curious.

Funding, tenure programs, business, and the general population should always be shaped in this direction when possible.
