Transparancy in Government
I stand firm in the belief that we make the best decisions when we have the most information. A government of, for, and by the people should be visible to the people. Any action to make bureaucracy clear, concise, simple, and transparent has my vote. Not only will this strengthen accountability and improve involvement, it reflects a genuine principle that government should be nothing more than a tool hired out by the public.

Research needs to discover
Research should attempt to discover the world not confirm already held views. Much research is designed to reconfirm held notions. Very little research is designed to question and better understand our held notions. Growth comes from curiosity, and researchers need to be curious.
Funding, tenure programs, business, and the general population should always be shaped in this direction when possible.

Research Availability
There is a plethora of knowledge in the world. This wisdom can help people overcome challenges, learn, and grow- the foundation of living. This knowledge needs to be easily accessible and comprehensible.
At one point, publishing the bible in 'common' English empowered an entire lower class.
Today I want to do the same- academic research needs to be publicly available to everyone and comprehensible to everyone as well.

Caring About Research
"Despite a large amount of research showing that the habitual use of harsh physical punishment by parents can have extremely negative effects on children, a parent may still say, "My father used his belt on me when I was a kid and it sure taught me how to behave properly!'
